Growing up, watching movies with these incredible feats of engineering always had young Zuhair in awe. My fascination and passion for these gasoline powered beasts were a big reason why I chose Mechanical Engineering as my degree of study.

I bought this car in June of 2021, after saving up money from my Innowi interhnship. As a huge fan of Transformers, the Camaro had always been my dream car. But the car has a ways to go before I can consider it perfect.Â
The LS3 motor is, in my opinion, one of the best engines in the world. The hearty V8 has been the subject of many engine swaps, including, but not limited to, small airplanes, and has the potential to make great power. My personal favorite thing about this engine is the ease of self-service, allowing me to save a fortune on maintanence and repairs by tackling the service myself.
Journey so far:
-Lowered the car by replacing springs
-Upgraded brakelines and replaced brake pads
-Painted and polished brand new wheels
In April of 2025, I was in an accident during a snow storm and crashed into gaurdrail. Car looks worse for wear, but she still runs and drives, and thats what's most important to me.
This was my first car, I paid a whole $500 for it, and it ran for a great 4 months. I haven't gotten it running in the 5 years since. This car has been an on and off project during summer vacations whenever my summer schedule isn't loaded. The previous owner swapped in a Japanese H22A motor from the Vtech model. Because of this, the wiring is sketchy and hard to trace, making the repair process much more difficult. This car's primary purpose was for me to learn different things, such as driving stick shift and how to do simple maintanence on a car. Everytime experience with this car
Journey so far:
-Replaced distributor
-Tinkered with fuel system
-Stripped interior
-Removed and inspected fuel pump
Next up, get it started
This car was a random find on Facebook. I bought it running and driving car for only $600, but it needed some work.
The car needed a battery, and a few fuses were ready to be replaced.
The passenger side front window also had issues, and wouldn't roll back up, so I purchased a new regulator and slider assembley, and after dissasembling the door, I was able to get it moving like it did from the factory.
This car has been an absolute joy. It shares so much DNA with my beloved Prelude, and I've been having a good time teaching my roommates and friends how to drive standard transmission.
